Welcome to St Anthony's Christmas Hampers
Welcome to the website for the St Anthony's Christmas Hampers, a tradition that has continued in our church for over 40 years. Our Hamper Mass this year is on
Sunday 10th December, 2023 at 9am.
Various welfare agencies and services provide us with the names of their most needy families. You are invited to adopt one of these families by clicking on the names of the agencies on the left hand side of this page and selecting a hamper. We then ask that you purchase gifts, special food and treats for Christmas, and a supermarket voucher to help the family over the holiday period. A list of suggested items to include in your hamper can be found in the Information box on the left.
The feedback we have received over the years shows that the hampers so generously given by parishioners have brought such joy and hope to the recipients. Often the knowledge that someone does care about them gives them the encouragement to keep going.
