Broadband Xchange
Concept
The Broadband Xchange project was initiated by SPAN (Service Providers Association Inc) in the early days of broadband to promote the uptake of broadband services. The project website was designed to give visitors as much information as possible about broadband in plain English. The project has been completed and the website is no longer in use.
Special Features
The website incorporated the following features:
- A database of businesses providing technical services in regional Australia. Visitors to the site can search the database to find a range of services in their region.
- Suppliers of services can register their details online. These details are automatically added to the database.
Involvement
NetSavvy principal, Annette Spooner, was responsible for the maintenance and further development of the Broadband Xchange website for 3 years from 2002 - 2004 inclusive.
